(CBS/AP) Miguel Cabrera was arrested in Florida on suspicion of drunk driving, and police have released a mug shot featuring a smiling Cabrera.According to the police, a St. Lucie County sheriff's deputy arrested the 27-year-old Wednesday night shortly after 11:00 p.m. Cabrera's car was on the side of the road with smoke coming from the engine of his vehicle.
Police said the Tigers slugger smelled of alcohol, was slurring his speech and took a swig from a bottle of Scotch in front of a deputy. According to the report, Cabrera's attitude was cocky, combative, argumentative and belligerent. His eyes were said to be bloodshot, watery and glassy and his face was flushed.
Police said Cabrera repeatedly refused to cooperate, saying, "Do you know who I am? You don't know anything about my problems."
"Cocky, combative, argumentative and belligerent." I can't think of four better words to kick-off this blog with. They really say it all. What better way to be when interacting with someone who is about to throw you in jail. And yet, WIA is still a the top of the list as a go-to line.
